VELMA WATSON
1920-2007

Funeral services for Velma Watson, 86, of Ozark County, were Monday, Jan. 8, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Burial was in the Lutie Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson died Jan. 5, 2007. She was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Ozark County, the daughter of William and Lola (Points) Tannehill. She and Calvin Watson were married Sept. 10, 1947, in Mountain Home, Ark.
She was a member of the General Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated a general store for 21 years. She also was a nurses aid for 18 years.
Mrs. Watson is survived by one son, Carl Watson of Ava; one daughter, Lola Watson of Ava; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
