Graveside services for Elaine Turner will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Harwood Cemetery in Harwood, Texas. Rev. Spain Trask will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

She was born in Gonzales, Texas on January 13, 1941. Elaine grew up in Palacios and graduated from Palacios High School with the class of 1959. She married Alfred Turner and shared over forty-seven years of marriage together before being separated by his death in 2008. Mrs. Turner was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker and a devout Christian and enjoyed studying genealogy. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gonzales for many years. She moved to Teague in 2017 and attended the First Assembly of God Church as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Gibson & husband Terry of Teague; one son, Jimmy Turner & wife Traci of Luling; ten grandchildren, Laura Thompson & husband Tony of Richardson, Grant Turner of Lockhart, Jenna Drake & husband Kendrick of Buda, Brad Gibson & wife Melissa of Raleigh, NC, Nick Gibson & wife Morgan of Longview, Cory Pomeroy & wife Amber of Leander, Lane Rountree of Luling, SaraJo Rountree of Luling, Ashley Motloch of Lockhart, and Matthew Bebee of Houston; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Tumlinson & wife Dorothy of Eden, NC, and Robert Tumlinson & wife Shirley of Lolita; numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred O. Tuner; her mother, Ovella Tumlinson; her father, Newton Tumlinson; and one brother, Clyde Tumlinson.

The family requests memorials be made to the First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 597, Teague, Texas 75860.
