Helen Barnhart, age 101, of Brandon, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 1 at Lakewood Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnhart was born on February 13, 1921 in Bassfield, MS to the late Fred and Elizabeth Hathorn Manton. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a bachelor's degree in home economics. She began her career serving as a home extension agent with Mississippi State and later became head dietician at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Jackson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry E. Barnhart, Jr.; parents, two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Barnhart is survived by her son, David Barnhart (Annette).
