Lewis Buckhold was born in Mecklenberg, Germany on the 12th day of July 1823. He came to America in 1872 and died near Marcellus, September 12, 1905 at the age of 82 years and 2 months.
The deceased joined the Evangelical Association in 1874 of which he remained a faithful member until his death. He was married to Fredricka Miller in 1855, who proceded him in death nine years ago.
He leaves five children, three having preceded him in death. The deceased also leaves thirty-five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home by Rev. H. T. Straub of Moorepark in German, assisted by the pastor in English. The remains were interred in Bly Cemetery.
