Misha was a tragic civilian casualty of the Russian war in Ukraine. He was out for a walk with his parents when Russian forces unexpectedly began shelling Kharkiv. His father Nikolai scooped his child in his arms to run --- but they didn't get a chance. Nikolai was killed instantly; the body of his baby boy, Mikhail, was later found on a rooftop, having been thrown there by the force of the blast. The family's mother was injured, but survived; her husband and son were buried together.
