MRS. ALBERTA M. PRICE

Mrs. Alberta M. Price, 78, of 3206 Kerbey Lane, died at her home Sunday. A resident of Austin for the past two years, she was formerly a resident of Yates Center, Kans., for 25 years. Mrs. Price was a member of the Presbyterian Church and attended Missouri Valley College & Columbia University.
The body will be at Weed-Corley Funeral Home until Monday evening, when it will be sent to Yates Center, Kans. Funeral will be at the Presbyterian Church in Yates Center at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Yates Center Cemetery, Rev. Wilbur Clark officiating.
Survivors are a brother, Arthur W. McGinnis of Westbury, N.Y.; five nephews, Robert C. McGinnis of Austin, Paul McGinnis of Oyster Bay, N.Y., Albert McGinnis, Edwin McGinnis and Gillett M. McGinnis, all of Dallas.

Mrs. Alberta Price
Alberta Price, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Albert McGinnis was born November 29, 1890 at Marshall, MO, and died in Austin, Tex., on Sunday, October 12, 1969.
Alberta received her education in the public schools of Marshall; in the Missouri Valley College of Marshall (where her father held the chairs of Philosophy and Religion or 37 years) being graduated in 1912; and earned her Masters Degree in Columbia University.
She taught school in the Marshall High School and in other schools.
She was united in marriage to Logan Price in 1932.
Mrs. Price was predeceased by her husband; by two brothers, John and Karl McGinnis and her parents.
Berta as she is affectionately remembered by her friends, was a person who gave. Her life was to serve in love and to give help, encouragement, assistance, inspiration or whatever was needed. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yates Center and often led and inspired a neighborhood prayer group among her friends. Many would go to her for renewal o hope and faith, to have the heavy load lifted, to find strength to meet the tasks of everyday living. She had gone to Austin to help and to care for a sister-in-law, when death came to her.
She is survived by one brother, Arthur o Westbury, N.Y.; five nephews, Robert of Austin, Tex., Albert, Edwin and Gillette of Dallas, Tex., and Paul of Oyster Bay, N.Y.
Memorial services were held in the First Presbyterian Church of Yates Center on Tuesday, October 14th with burial in the Yates Center Cemetery. Pallbearers were F. H. Bauersfeld, Elmer Krueger, John Robson, Harry Theobald and Hartel Dyer. Mrs. Linnie Clasen sang "Abide With Me" and "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go" accompanied by Mrs. Jeanette Beine. Pastor Wilbur J. Clark officiated.
H. R. Campbell & sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
