Ruth Schacht , 91, of the Catawissa Allied Apartments and formerly of Church Street, Plymouth, died Sunday at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 19, 1912, in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Augusta (Olschefski) Schacht . She worked for the Newark Silk Co. and the L.A. Dress Co., both in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the First Reformed Church, Plymouth. She enjoyed bus trips.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lena, Edward, Theresa and Violet Schacht ; Minnie Williams, Marie Emery, Augusta Hartman, Edith Fitzer Carlin, Emma Huddock, Margaret Kelly and Louise Price.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews in the Bloomsburg and Plymouth areas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, Rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, with the Rev. Jack Jones officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shavertown, Kingston Township.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday.

Never married.Lived most of her life in Plymouth until moving to a nursing home in Orangeville
