Ann G. Campbell, age 67, entered into rest June 17, 2022 after a two year, two month battle with ovarian cancer.
Ann was born October 25, 1954 in Aiken County, SC to Eloise Gunter and the late Etheredge Gunter.
She was a life-long resident of Aiken, SC. She received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from USC and worked as a Registered Nurse, eventually retiring from Columbia Eye Surgery Center. She worshiped at Couchton Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, played organ and piano, and helped with Vacation Bible School. Ann loved to travel and to go fishing with her family. She spent the last two years of her life participating in clinical trials in the hope of contributing to the future treatment of ovarian cancer.
She is survived by her mother, Eloise Gunter; her beloved husband of thirty-six years, Michael E. Campbell; her son, Matthew E. Campbell (Emily); her step-daughter, Laurie Campbell (Jon); her sister, Mary Lou Anderson; two brothers, Ronnie Gunter (Carolyn) and Carl Gunter; and her niece, Teri Lawson.
The family will receive friends at George Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 113 Tabernacle Road, Springfield, SC 29146, with Pastor Brian Adkison officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
