John W. Alford Ex-electrician Of Orange Dies
Orange, May 7, 1956 (Spl)--John William Alford, 70, of 910 Fifth St., Orange, a retired electrician with the Shell Oil Co., died Monday at 5 p.m. in Lutcher Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Alford was a native of Decatur, Ill., and had resided in the Orange area for the past 10 years. At the time of his death, he resided with a daughter, Mrs. E.J. Ford of the Fifth Street address. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Claybar Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Gayle, Methodiat minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery at Newton.
Survivors besises the daughter include one son, Frank Alford of Sulphur, La, one granddaughter, Mrs. Danny Cowart of Beaumont.
