Irvin D. Bower, 96, formerly of Danville, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at West Chester, Pa. He was born on October 10, 1925, in Weatherly, a son of the late Ray and Maude (Grasley) Bower.
After his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving during World War II.
Family was everything to Irvin; he especially cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2004, the former Agnes Mary Roberts. He was the last remaining member of his family of 12 other siblings.
