Lois Elaine Stein, nee Forlow, age 85, of Lombard, passed away on June 9, 2022 at Beacon Hill.
Lois was born to the late Forest and the late Marcella Forlow on November 4, 1936 in Celina, OH. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Jerome "Jerry" Stein. She was the loving mother of Kathleen (Randall) Sutton of Minnesota and Albert Lee Stein of Florida; fond grandmother of Zackary Stein of New York; and dear sister of Janet (the late Jim) Kittle, the late Elvin (Marlene) Forlow and the late Duane (Candy) Forlow.
Lois was baptized on December 13, 1936 and confirmed on May 28, 1950 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Celina, OH. On December 12, 1959, Lois and Albert Jerome were married at St John's Church in Celina, OH. In 1967, Lois was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Lombard, where she was active in the Lutheran Girl Pioneers, the Choir and served as a Sunday School Teacher.
She graduated from The Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. After moving to Illinois, she worked at Ingalls Memorials Hospital, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and then for Drs. Landgreder and Kandel in their Downtown Lombard Private Practice.
