Rita A. (Martin) Dahl
Age 71. Passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 in Newark, OH. She was born January 20, 1931 in Joliet to the late Thomas and Teresa (nee Walsh), she was a long time Plainfield resident. Graduate of St. Francis Academy, Class of 1953, she received her Associates degree from Joliet Junior College in 1955 and her Bachelors degree in chemistry from DePaul University in Chicago in 1957. She retired from NGPL as a chemist, and was formerly employed by DeMert and NIGAS. Member of Chemical Society since 1958, serving as secretary for the Joliet Section in 1984.
Beloved mother of Thomas (Paula) Dahl of Maryland, David of Salem, OR, Therese (John) Zuck of Benton, IL, Elaine (Michael) Howley of Granville, OH and Alice (Zorik) Bunchuk of Mt. Prospect, IL; dearest grandmother of Justin and Christopher Zuck; one sister, Irene Sallese of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Dahl (2006); and her parents.
Funeral Services for Rita A. Dahl will be Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Monday 3:30-7:00 p.m. at:
