On a Sunday morning, Phyllis Marie Tolman, age 94, left this world to join her husband forever after residing at Christian Park Village for the past several years.

Phyllis was the daughter of Elmer and Luella (Ruhbusch) Wilson.

On October 4, 1947 the former Phyllis Wilson married Mearl R. Tolman at the First United Presbyterian Church in Escanaba and together shared 54 years of marriage. Phyllis and Mearl welcomed four beautiful children into the world.

Phyllis was a lifelong devout member of the First Presbyterian Church and didn't miss a Sunday if she could help it. Phyllis made many longtime friends through the church and made a point of getting to know each new minister through the years. She was always there to help with the annual Ladies Salad Luncheon, and always donating to funeral lunches. She also worked many years at the annual church rummage sale.

Phyllis was survived by: son, Greg (Cathy) Tolman Sr.; daughter, Gayle (Joe) Skorupski; grandsons, Greg Tolman Jr., Christopher (Stephanie Villeneuve) Tolman and Shane (fiance Jess Hoerres) Tolman; great-grandchildren, Michael Clarke, Tyler (Bri), Austin (Carlee), and Brandin (Adia Lehoskey) Tolman, Haylee and Trenton Tolman; Joe (Jamie) Skorupski Jr., and William Skorupski; great-great-grandchildren, Hayden, Rosie and Ellie Tolman, Brooklyn Skourpski, and baby boy Tolman due June 2022; brother-in-law, Warren Tolman; sisters-in-law, Alice Johnson, Orvella Bingham, and Nancy Broeders; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Mearl Tolman in 2001; daughter, Bonnie; son, Gary; daughter- in-law, Debby (Allen); and sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel (Albert) Victorson, Joyce (Harold) Kuehl, June (Will) Blau, and Dorothy (Glenn) Wery.

Visitation at the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services celebrating her life officiated by Rev. Janice Reed. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery. Assisted by the Anderson Funeral Homes.
