She was born on Aug. 1, 1942 in Mineral Hill, N.M. to Ramon and Albina Abeyta.
She is preceeded in death by her parents; brother Sam Abeyta; daughter Armella Edwards; son Diego Romero; granddaughter Amanda Johnson; and uncle Willie Trujillo.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Marvin Romero Sr.; daughters, Yvette Johnson and Lynda Dominguez; son Marvin Jr. (Tara Marino); grandson Raymond Johnson (USAF); great-grandkids, Destiny and Mason Johnson; sister Marcella (Joe) Coca; sister-in-law Angie Abeyta; and several nephews and nieces.
Georgiana graduated from West Las Vegas H.S. in 1961 where she was a band majorette and in the school choir. She later became a teacher for West Las Vegas Headstart where she touched the lives of many children in the school district.
Georgiana enjoyed collecting Native American art, pottery, and jewelry which she proudly displayed and wore.
Funeral mass will be on March 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho N.M.) with a reception to follow at the Reception Hall.
