Samuel was born on January 15, 1946 in San Geronimo, NM, to his parents, Ramon Abeyta and Albina Trujillo Abeyta.
Samuel served in the United States Army from November 1965 to October 1967 as a SP4. Member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Financial Council. His hobbies were bowling, fishing, hunting and was a big Denver Broncos fan.
Samuel was also preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Albina Abeyta and granddaughter: Estrella Abeyta.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Angie D. Abeyta, of the family home, sons, Angelo Abeyta (Tracy) of Rio Rancho, NM, Aaron Abeyta (Leroy) of Phoenix, AZ, Adrian Abeyta (Jessica) oF Albuquerque, NM and Adam Abeyta (Lori) of Las Vegas, NM, daughter, Samara Encinias (Mario) of Las Cruces, NM, grandchildren, Dominique, Angelique, Ezequiel, Antoinique, David, Tao, Isaac, Zacery, Fernando, Deandra, Vianey, Mario Jr. and Alana, sisters, Georgianna Romero (Marvin Sr.) of Placitas, NM and Marcella Coca (Joe) of Las Vegas, NM, Godsons, Esteban Coca and Daniel Collins and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary service will be recited on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. with both services to be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM, with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will take place at the Santa Fé National Cemetery in Santa Fé, NM, on January 2, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with the following serving as Casket Bearers, Angelo Abeyta, Aaron Abeyta, Adrian Abeyta, Adam Abeyta, Mario Encinias and Leroy Ortiz M.D. Honorary Bearers will all of his grandchildren.
