Joseph William Decker, 75, of McCurtain, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Muskogee. He was born June 30, 1946 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Jim and Gladys (Lane) Decker.
Joseph served his country in the United States Army. He loved riding 4 wheelers & motorcycles, liked hunting & fishing, loved taking care of his yard & growing flowers. He enjoyed visiting friends & old oil field buddies.
Joseph is survived by two sons, Joseph Decker Jr. of McCurtain, Michael Decker of McCurtain; 4 grandchildren, Cody, Blake, Lucas, Clinton; 2 great grandchildren;
2 brothers, George Decker of Dallas, Texas, Jimmy Decker of Beggs, Oklahoma; a sister, Ruth Decker of Claremore, Oklahoma; numerous nieces & nephews.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Gladys Decker; a brother, Floyd Wayne Decker; 3 sisters, Pearl Mallet, Edith Bray, Ann Barnes; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 16, 2022 at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Revered Howard Orr officiating. Pallbearers include Billy Don Dill, Dustin Lovell, Johnny Paul, David Gill, Michael Blaylock, John Anderson, Kevin Bray, Jeffrey Paul.
Burial will follow in Iron Bridge Cemetery at Keota under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
