As a young man, Henry taught school in Coffee County. He later worked in the railroad shops, along with his brother Carl, in Waycross GA. He was a Veteran of WWII. After making Ft. Pierce FL his home in 1926, he worked for Railway Express. He was also associated in farming and owned citrus fruit groves with his wife's family. He leaves behind his wife and two children.
