Rebecca was born in the Stokesville communty near Nichols and grew up helping her family take care of a large farm. She attended school in Coffee County, and progressed to graduate from the earliest version of South Georgia College. After her marriage to Willie McKinnon, Rebecca lived in Atkinson County. She was an incredible homemaker, cook, artist, wife and loving mother. She helped maintain a home and food crops on a very active farm, until retiring to Douglas with her husband. Rebecca was a loving, generous soul who was a constant support to her family and friends. Her exemplary life of hard work and kindness rippled through her community and generations of her family. She is profoundly missed.
