"Boyleston Feb. 12 "Died, the 8th, Mrs. Sarah Atchinson sick a few days with measles, when pneumonia set in. Deceased was laid to rest in the Bovee cemetery. (Note" Records Pure Gold Col., said she was Mrs. Joshua Adkinson.)"

Marriage licenses issued during the month of September:
Joshua Atkinson, 25, and Sarah J. Clevenger, 23.
Sarah was survived by at least 4 children. Two from her first marriage to William Clevenger: Rosa and Amanda. Two from her second marriage: Myrtle and Elmer. According to the 1880 census in Wayne County, she was born about 1859 in Illinois. In 1860 a Sarah A. Young, 2, was living in Wayne County with parents, Abram and Mary E. Young.
