SULPHUR -- Services for Ann Loraine Ontjes, 62, Denison, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Lesslie Thompson, the Rev. Steve Biggerstaff and the Rev. Raymond England officiating. Interment will be at Drake Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ontjes was born March 19, 1938, in Sulphur, to William F. and Minnie W. Edgington Howard. She died April 18, 2000, in Sherman, Texas.
Raised in Mill Creek, she lived in Sulphur from 1976 until 1998 and worked as a dietary supervisor at Artesian Nursing Home 23 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and had lived in Denison since 1998. She and Willis Bert Ontjes were married June 1, 1958, in California.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three daughters, Loraine Thompson, Denison, Linda Chasteen, Broken Arrow, and Lisa Largen, Kearney, Neb.; a son, Bert, Waxahachie, Texas; four brothers, Pat Howard, Sulphur, Jim Howard, Oklahoma City, Richard Howard, Roswell, N.M., and Clay Howard, Tyler, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildre
