Marilyn H. Ackerman, 88, of Carmi passed away on May 7, 2022 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born in Carmi, IL on March 10, 1934 the daughter of Baylus and Martha Jane (Baird) Hargrave. Marilyn married Harry Ackerman on December 26, 1953 in Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2015. She was a homemaker and was a devoted treasurer for several years of Big Prairie United Methodist Church. Marilyn loved to cook and entertain. She enjoyed the Holidays, especially Christmas, when she would make Christmas candy with her daughters and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and four siblings, Reva Price, Lester, Chester and Ervin Hargrave.
Burial will follow in Big Prairie Cemetery in Carmi.
