Born in Blakely, daughter of the late Pasquale and Ermelinda DeCristoforo Marra, she was a proud graduate of both St. Michael's Elementary School in Jessup and Jessup High School where she received second highest honors. She went on to successfully obtain a degree from the Scranton State School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1955 to start her career as an exemplary bedside nurse. She went on to serve as assistant head nurse of the Intensive Care Unit of the Scranton State General Hospital. Later she was part of the team that opened up the Gino Merli Veteran's Center and held the position of the Infection Control Nurse before her retirement. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Angeline was very active within other numerous local organizations such as the M.A.C. Club at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Dunmore, the Keystone Chapter of UNICO, where she supported many fundraising efforts, the Scranton State School of Nursing Alumni Association, and was also deeply committed to fundraising for the Monsignor Anthony C. Marra Memorial Fund at Friends of the Poor, a charity that was personally close to her heart. She had been recognized in 2021 by the Scranton Times for her famous Pizza Piena (Italian Easter Pie) recipe.
Angeline placed high value in being with family, spending time with them, and enjoying everyone's company over dinners. Aside from her pride of being a nurse, she was most proud to be affectionately known as Grandma to her grandchildren, and Nonni to her great-grandchildren. She adored them and they adored her.
