Raymond was a retired coal tipple operator and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching wrestling.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Messer; a son, Darrell Tolliver; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Mills and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two children, Kenneth Tolliver of Flat Lick and Brenda McKinney and husband, Jeff, of Pembroke, VA; two sisters, Sylvia Billings and husband, Ronnie, of Princeton, WV and Frances Adkins and husband, Bobby, of Key Rock, WV; two brothers, Rev. Dale Tolliver and wife, Loretta of Clearmont, IL and Oak Tolliver of Pineville, WV; seven grandchildren, Tracie, Amber, Brandon, Dillon, Summer, Haley and David; three great grandchildren, Aaron, Emma and Ruthie; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 26 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Mike Helton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Smith Cemetery at Elys Hollow.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Wednesday after 9 A.M. until the funeral hour.
