Eilene was born March 28, 1938 in Breckenridge, MN to Marion and Frank Andel. She moved to Englevale, ND with her family in 1952, attended St. Aloysius School and graduated from Lisbon High School. She was married to Bill Sweet in September of 1956 until his passing in 1989. She began her banking career for Metropolitan in Lisbon, ND in 1970. She was named manager in July 1976 until she retired in 1995.
She was very active in the Lisbon community serving on multiple boards for Ransom County, Lisbon Park Board, Civic and Commerce, among many others. She married Jim Seitz in 1997 and moved to Fargo until his passing in 2002. Eilene enjoyed gardening, flowers, and traveling completing many trips throughout the United States and abroad.
Eilene's family includes her three daughters: Robbi (Randy) Smith, Terri (Rod) Wolters, Penni (Kevin) Travis, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Eilene also leaves behind her brother Chuck Andel and sisters, Francis Hiam, Alice Brown and Hazel Maddocks. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Sweet and Jim Seitz, and brothers, Raymond Andel and Donnie Andel.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Lisbon followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery near Lisbon.
