The stone does not say who is the husband and who is the wife, but there is a GAR marker, and for him to have fought in the Civil War he would need to be E.P. Hatch. -- Co. D, 33rd IL Infantry -- He has a private marker, as in NOT a military marker. He is listed on Benton County Civil War Veterans (buried in Benton County, that is). His great grandson wrote and said Co. B, not D.

He also said 2nd wife is buried with him, Clara Cordelia Hatch, and that first wife was Annie S. Barbour. Annie is not buried in this cemetery.
