Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Nicolas "Nick" G. Villalobos of the family home; a son, Nicolas R. Villalobos Jr., (Michelle) of Anthony, TX; four daughters, Katie Montañez (Juan) of El Paso, TX, Ceci Villalobos of Mesquite, Cynthia V. Lopez (Ray) of El Paso, TX., and Kammy Villalobos (David) of Anthony, TX; three brothers, Frank, Freddie and Ruben Rodriguez; five sisters, Maria Molina, Belia Alvarez, Estella Wilhelm, Maggie Reyes, and Concha Saenz (Danny). Other survivors include 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Socorro was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Alejandro, Efren and Tony; a grandson, Christopher N. Villalobos on November 25, 2021 and great-grandson, Jordan Montañez.
Visitation for Mrs. Villalobos will begin at 6 PM Thursday, April, 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 125 W. Mesquite Street in Mesquite with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM Friday, April 22, 2022 in the same church with the Reverend Francis Gyau Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Anthony Cemetery, 750 Acosta Road in Anthony where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.
Serving as casket bearers will be Nick Villalobos Jr., Anthony Covarrubia, Ray Lopez, Juan and Joshua Montañez and Ray Waterman. Honorary bearers will be Jonathan Montañez, Daniel Saenz, Jr., Luis Tarin, Santos Vasquez, Gabriel Lopez and Mathew Villalobos.
