Roy Gene Beavers Sr., age 58, a resident of Russellville, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born October 6, 1945, at Pottsville, to the late William Floyd and Nellie Harris Beavers. He was a former employee of the City of Russellville and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Dean Beavers.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Beavers of Russellville; 3 sons, Roy Gene Beavers Jr. of Dover, Michael Douglas Beavers of Dover, and Christopher Lynn Beavers of Russellville; a daughter, Sherry Lewallen of Malvern; a brother, Lawrence David Beavers of Dover; 13 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2004, at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Simmons, Justin Prather, David Beavers, Michael Beavers, Brandon Beavers, and John Beavers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Stanley Bradley and the 4th floor nursing staff at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be 7 - 8 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the funeral home.
