Ida Belle O'Brien
Mrs. Ida Belle O'Brien, 94, of Lewisville, died Sunday, Feb. 24 at her home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Church of Christ in Dodson, with Frank Duckworth, a Church of
Christ minister, officiating.
Burial was in Dodson Cemetery under the direction of Patterson Greer Funeral Home, Hollis. Pall bearers were Kenneth Derrick, Dale Derrick, Duggie Turner, Duggie Jameson, Edel Bonneau and Leland Bonneau.
Mrs. O'Brien was born Oct. 12, 1896 at Palmer, Idaho, the daughter of Charlie Hunt and Mattie Abbott Hunt.
They had operated a store at Madge before moving to Idaho, and again after returning to Oklahoma, they again operated a store in Madge, until Mr. Hunt's death a short time later.
She married Pete O'Brien, in March 1920 at Wellington. They farmed at Dodson until 1969.
Later Mrs. O'Brien lived in Abilene, then moved to Lewisville. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Derrick of Lewisville, and Elva L. Trapp of Austin; one brother, Ruffie Jameson of Dodson, six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-
grandchildlren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete O'Brien in 1964 and by a daughter, Lillian Ruth Turner in 1968, by a sister, Erma Bonneau and a brother, Gilbert Hunt.
