Linda Jean Stillwell, 74, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was born August 9, 1947 in Big Spring, Texas to Clyde and Nora Ragsdale. The oldest of three children, she and her siblings grew up in Texas City where her father was the editor of the local newspaper.

After high school, she went to work at Rice Food Markets where she found her passion for accounting. Her greatest achievements were passing the CPA Exam and obtaining her MBA. During her career, she worked in media at Metro Radio Control, Telemundo, and Comcast. Her ultimate desire was to teach others so after retirement she taught accounting at Lone Star College. She always enjoyed sharing her great knowledge and practical skills with her students.

During her time at Rice Food Markets, she met her husband, Alfred. They were married June 6, 1981. They were happily married for 40 years and he was there by her side, holding her hand, as she met the Lord in her passing.

Al and Linda were avid travelers and were able to experience many beautiful and exotic places. She walked the Great Wall of China, experienced the pyramids of Egypt, and prayed and worshiped in Israel and Bethlehem. She was also able to experience the origins of her family in Ireland and continued her travels through Europe in Scotland, England, and Paris.

While involved in all of her activities and work, she was always a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending holidays with all of her family. Christmas was, by far, her favorite time of the year. Most years, there were no less than 21 themed Christmas trees in her house.

Linda is survived by her husband, Al of The Woodlands. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Charles Pruett of San Antonio; two brothers and their families, Johnny & Mimi Ragsdale and their daughter Laura of Katy, Texas as well as Kerry and Randi Ragsdale of Fulshear, Texas. She is also survived by her grandson, Shaun Barnett of Austin, Texas; granddaughter and her husband, Charla and Ray Harrison of Corpus Christie; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Forest Park-The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Forest Park-The Woodlands Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Cole will officiate. Following the service, there will be a short procession to Forest Park-The Woodlands Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the Chapel Mausoleum. After the services, the family invites the friends to join them back at the funeral home for a reception.
