Henry proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean War, and retired from IBM. Henry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was sweet and kind, and everyone that met him loved him. He will be truly missed.
Henry is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Clotilda (Cosentino) Pelella; his children: Mark Pelella and wife Gina and their children; Deborah Pettit and husband Roy and their children; Marianne Banta and husband Tom and their children; devoted step-son Joseph DeFranco and wife Felicia and their children, Frankie and Lisa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his brothers, Louie, Al, John, Nunzio, Billy and Peter; and sisters, Beatrice Petch, Jenny Duda, America Hutton and Anna Pelella.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, April 12 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh A Catholic mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at St. Francis Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
