Mrs. Martha Swann Walker, 93, Rt. 9, Frederick, died Monday, April 24, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born in Frederick, Feb. 22, 1885, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Ellen Downes Weedon. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Walker was a practical nurse.
She is survived by one brother, Hiram J. Weedon, Rt. 6, Frederick; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Henderson and Mrs. Hester Hardy, both of Petersville, Mrs. Edna Holland of Brunswick and Mrs. Jennie Lee, Rt. 2, Frederick; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at Stauffer Funeral Home, Motter Avenue Extended, Frederick, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. A service of Christian burial will be held from the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 27. Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Frederick.
