PRINCEVILLE -- Maimee E. Donath , 98, formerly of Princeville, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Parkhill Medical Complex in Chillicothe, IL.
Born Feb. 5, 1900, in Princeville to Albert and Eva Slane Erikson, she married Jess L. Donath on June 21, 1920. He died March 5, 1951, in Peoria.
One brother and two sons, Jess Jr. and Frank, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Stickling of Princeville and Juanita Burgess of Prescott, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She and her husband owned and operated Donath 's Princeville Cafe for many years. She was a clerk for Brown, Lynch and Scott Hardware and then a waitress at Princess Cafe. She retired in the 1960s.
She attended First Presbyterian Church in Princeville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. The Rev. Dr. Gladys Herzog will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
