Last Rites Held Wednesday For Jesse Donath

Funeral services for Jesse Donath, 56 were held yesterday afternoon in the Bouton Memorial home with the Rev. Arnold Dalzell of the Presbyterian church officiating. Edward Auten accompanied Mrs. Harold Bouton as she sang "In the Garden" and " Beautiful isle of Somewhere".
He was laid to rest in the Princeville cemetery. Pallbearers were William Pullen, T. E. Murphy. Harry Best, William Lightell, Raf Smith and Jack Francis.
Mr. Donath, turnkey of the Peoria county pail, passed away early Monday morning in St. Francis hospital, where he had been a patient since February 8 after an illness of several months.
Born in Chillicothe June 27, 1894 he was the son of John and Mary Donath. He was united in marriage to Miss Mayme Erickson June 21, 1920. He was a veteran of World War I in which he served overseas with the Army. For several years, Mr. Donath owned and operated a café here. His cheerful and sunny disposition won for him a large circle of friends and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Stickling and Mrs. Juanita Burgess; two sons, Frank and Jess Jr., all of Princeville; six grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest, John and Charles and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Crotz and Mrs. Ella Webber all of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews.
