Mr A Kent Loofburrow, 68

A memorial gathering will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in Tualatin Valley Elks Lodge for A. Kent Loofburrow, who died Dec. 14 of cancer at age 68.

Mr. Loofburrow was born May 6, 1931, in Portland. He graduated from Jefferson High School and attended the University of Portland. He was a salesman for building products companies for 25 years, and then was a heating and air conditioning technician for Carson Oil until retiring in about 1987. He was a past president of Oregon Building Congress and served on the Portland Building Code Board of Appeals for 20 years. He was an assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 127. He married Barbara J. Buffum in 1952.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jeffrey of Stevensville, Mont., and Mark of Aloha; daughter, Linda Edwards of Eagle Creek; and five grandchildren. His son, Philip, died in 1983.

Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity. Arrangements are by Riverview Abbey Funeral Home.
