Mr. Brewton honorably served our country in the United States Army, a dedicated member of the 82nd Airborne Team. During his military career, he served as a paratrooper and was proud to have jumped twice during his tour in Korea. After the military, Clifford went on to college, completing his bachelor's degree and eventually his master's degree. He was then ordained as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church. Clifford loved music and even spent some time as a member of the Smile-A-While Quartet out of Macon, Georgia.
Mr. Brewton was one of a kind and truly served the Lord in every aspect of life. He loved to help people, it didn't matter who they were or their situation, he would lend his helping hand. He never met a stranger and everyone became a friend. As Dad, he taught his children a lot about life. He was a family man and instilled values in his family that will pass on for generations to come. His sense of humor and witty personality will be missed, but his family will continue to share his jokes for years to come.
He leaves behind to carry his legacy, his wife of 65 years, Rachael Meadors Brewton; daughter, Rebekah (Richard) Chromi; son, Danny (Sandy) Brewton; daughter, Laura McCurdy (Kent Thompson); grandchildren, Melissa Chromi, David Chromi, Stephen (Margrit) Chromi, Terrance Walsh, Gloria (Trevor) Aiken, Natalie Brewton, Lowell McCurdy, Spencer McCurdy, Miles McCurdy; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Wesley, Arianna, Teddy, Trudy, Wayne; sisters, Barbara (Danny) Thomas and Betty Houck; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
