d/o Einar G. and Elsa M. (Johnsson) Franzen, Swedish Lutheran immigrants
w/o Herbert A. Sundberg

Beverly was widowed in 1957 when her husband of 15 years, Herbert A. Sundberg, died of cancer, leaving her to raise 3 young children In Hingham, MA. Beverly was always very social, creative, and resourceful. Graduating early from Newton High School, Newton, MA in 1939, she had the opportunity to be selected as an Estee Lauder model and performed on WMEX on Saturday mornings as a cowgirl singer and yodeler with a small trio. Her beloved dad, Einar, came out of retirement and supported Bev and her family for a few years when her family was young. She eventually returned to the work force as an executive secretary for Hunneman Realty at the State Street Bank Building in Boston where she worked until her retirement in 1981. She was proud to be one of the original Boston boat commuters from the old Hingham shipyard. She ended up stranded on her commuter boat with her friends for 3 days during the Blizzard of 78 always calling it an adventure. Wherever she lived, Hingham and Carver, MA, Camino, CA and Florida (where her older daughter lived) and eventually NH, she created beautiful gardens and bird habitats. She joined Cranberry Hospice in Plymouth, MA as a volunteer in the 1980's and started an annual tradition of decorating smaller tabletop Christmas trees for fundraising efforts, continuing this with the Derry, NH Garden Club, where she was very proud to be an honorary lifetime member. Beverly was known for her Swedish love of coffee, and she loved cheering on SNHU Penmen Baseball and the Red Sox!

Beverly leaves behind two daughters and a son; grandchildren.
