Aged Mariposa Rancher Called
MERCED, Mar. 7--John Zweifel, Mariposa County rancher for the last seventeen years, died at the age of 82 years at his home near Usona, twelve miles east of Mariposa, at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon following an extended illness.
The body is at the Welch and Griffin funeral parlors in Merced. Services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Welch and Griffin chapel at Mariposa, with burial to follow in the family plot in the Mariposa Cemetery.
Zweifel, a native of Iowa, came to California in 1915. his wife, Mrs. Maria Zweifel, died thirteen years ago and was buried at Mariposa.
