Rose Lenore Shumway passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2022. She was born Rose Lenore Christensen on September 29, 1930 in Glenbar, Graham County, Arizona to the late Victor and Sarah Jane Christensen.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She loved to serve others and was an amazing cook and caregiver to her friends and family.
She graduated with a degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University, served as a missionary in the North Central States mission, worked as a CPA, taught school, and sold Avon while raising her children.
Rose married Clarence Cornell Shumway on September 20, 1958 and was blessed with six amazing children who survive; twenty-four grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Clarence Cornell Shumway, husband, Taylor Rose Moore, granddaughter and Chloe Marie Shurbet, great-granddaughter.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9AM and followed by funeral services beginning at 10AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3527 W. Happy Valley Road, Glendale, AZ 85310.
