My great grandmother Domenica was born in the village of Grezzo di Bardi, Parma Province, Italy which was where her future husband Giovanni was also born two years earlier. Grezzo is several kilometers northwest of the larger town of Bardi.
She bore nine children--one in Grezzo di Bardi, Italy, two in London, England, and six in Mayfield, California. Giovanni and Domenica had purchased cemetery plots in order to be buried next to their oldest son Luigi at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, San Mateo County, California, but are now encrypted on each side of their daughter Ida in the mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, San Mateo County, California.
