Henry is the son of Johann Boerner and Anna Weiner. He married Mary Perry March 10, 1866. They were the parents of Blanche, John, Sadie, Roy, Grace, Jessie, and Edna Boerner.

THE ODEBOLT CHRONICLE - Thu, Jun 16, 1938 - Word was received Saturday morning of the death of Henry Boerner at Winner, SD. Had he lived he would have reached the age of 74 next Monday, June 20. He was born in Germany coming across with his parents when only a baby. They lived in various states - Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

He was married to Mary Perry near Odebolt. She passed away three years ago last April.

Mr Boerner had many friends and acquaintances in this locality. He made his home with his brother, John, off and on for the last three years. In fact, he became ill at their home. After a week of illness here he was taken to the home of one of his children three weeks ago and later entered the hospital there. He hadn't been in good health for a long time so when the last sickness overtook him, he grew weaker rapidly.

He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Roy, of near Odebolt since last July; and 5 daughters; three sisters: Mrs Floyd Hoff and Mrs Anna Folck, both of Marshall MN, and Mrs Grant Bly of Deland, FL; three brothers: John of Odebolt, Ernest of Enid, OK and Will of Winner, SD.

Mr and Mrs John Boerner, Glenn and Roy Boerner left for Winner, SD Saturday. They remained for the funeral services which were held there Monday. Then the body was taken to Randolph, NE and services were held there Tuesday.

Others from this vicinity who attended the services at Randolph, NE were Mr and Mrs Arthur Eaton, Mrs Roy Boerner and four children, Mr and Mrs Fred Schmidt, Mr and Mrs A.B. Waggoner, Mr and Mrs Vern Boerner, Mr and Mrs Dallas Boerner and Wayne Boerner.
