Shirley Mae Leitzell, 76 years old, of Coalport, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone. She was born in Irvona, daughter of Jessie Leroy Smeal and Nellie (Smith) Smeal.
She attended the Coalport United Methodist Church She worked as a Cook for Corner Room, State College and K-Mart and Giant Store, State College.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia Kruise and husband, Joe, of Coalport, Barbara Leathers and husband, Richard, of Bellefonte and Judy Bonar, of Centre Hall; son, Jerry Lee Dotts and wife, Nancy of Glen Hope; brothers, John Smeal, of Madera, Edward Smeal, of Mineral Walls, Texas and Daniel Smeal, of Ramey; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father, Jessie Leroy Smeal; mother, Nellie (Smith) Smeal; brothers, Jessie Leroy, Robert, Ernest and Richard; and husband, Jerome Leitzell.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., 91 Rose St., Irvona PA with Rev. Paul Fields officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery, Port Matilda.
