Mrs. Elizabeth Crompton Picknell aged 94, Utah pioneer and widow of John Harris Picknell, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Charles MacCarthy, 2952 Jackson avenue.

She was born in Norwich, England, January 15, 1838, a daughter of Stephen and Ann Gladman Crompton. She came to the United States in 1862 and crossed the plains to Utah as a member of Homer Duncan's ox-team company. She has resided in Utah since that time and had made her home in Ogden six years. Mr. Picknell died a number of years ago. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Leah Blackburn, Loa; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The body was taken Wednesday to Salt Lake City where services will be conducted.
