Odelia A. Johnson, 96, formerly of Secor and Roanoke, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Maple Lawn Health Care Center in Eureka, where she was a resident.

She was born on March 11, 1911, in Secor, Ill., to William and Caroline Wessel Rippel. She married John A. Johnson on Dec. 4, 1932, in Secor, Ill. He died on May 30, 1991.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald (Alice) Johnson of Eureka, Roger (Martie) Johnson of Taos, N.M., and Encinitas, Calif., and Rodney (Arlene) Johnson of Secor, Ill.; one daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Birkenbeil of Chatsworth; and one brother, Riemond Rippel of Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Irene Campen.

Odelia attended Lutheran Parochial School in Secor and Eureka High School.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke, where she was a member of the Friends and Faith ladies group.

Burial will be in Secor Cemetery.
