ROBERT BOLEN SR. EX-MAROA MAYOR DIES IN DECATUR
MAROA — Robert D. Bolen Sr., 82, former mayor and city clerk of Maroa died at 11:40 AM Monday in Decatur and Macon County hospital. The body was taken to Dawson and Widoff Funeral home, Decatur. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Presbyterian church at Maroa. Burial will be in Maroa cemetery
He was born Nov 28, 1866 near Heyworth, a son of Andrew and Lydia Bolen. He was married in 1890 to Katerine Ross, Greeley, Colo. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sons, Dr. William R. , Indianapolis, Ind., Milford, San Antonio, Tex., and Keith and Robert D., jr., both of Maroa, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Bundy, Indianapolis, Ind.
Mr. Bolen was a former postmaster of Maroa.
