Rosada Gadd Peters, age 92, of Berea, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was the daughter of the late James P. Gadd and Sarah Chasteen Gadd Bullens. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. On September 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to the Late John S. "JS" Peters. From that union was born three daughters, Patti, Paula, and Phyllis. Patricia preceded her in death on December 6, 2021.
Rosada had been an avid quilter for most of her life and loved to make quilts to sell and for her family. She loved to do word search puzzles and to just sit and talk with friends and family. She enjoyed eating out and listening to gospel music. One of her favorite things was to listen to her grandson Chris Cobb preach and to hear her other grandchildren sing gospel music.
Rosada is survived by her daughters, Paula (James) Cobb, and Phyllis (Perry) Harding. She has Five grandchildren and their spouses, Chris (Shella) Cobb, Courtney Cobb, Trent (Ashley) Harding, Jay (Whitney) Cobb, and Kadi (Travis) Carpenter. She has six great grandchildren, Caleb, Logan, Audrey, Layla, Jessa, Kashton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, William, Lewis, Edd, J.T., four sisters, Maryetta Cameron, Mae Abney, Geneva Sebastian, and Barbara Spires.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Tuesday March 15, 2022, at Scaffold Cane Baptist Church with Bro. James Hardin officiating. Her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her grand daughters and other great grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Cobb/Anglin Cemetery on Anglin Falls Rd off Hammond Fork in Rockcastle County.
