Mr. Zimmerman was a retired equipment operator with Franklin County. He was a veteran of WWII with the 155th Infantry. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Zimmerman and Rosa Yerke Zimmerman; three brothers and three sisters.
He was survived by his wife, Marie Bryant Zimmerman of Roxie; two sons, Nicholas H. Zimmerman, Jr. and wife Janet Ann, and Steve Andrew Zimmerman and wife Anita Jane, all of Roxie; his brother, Johnnie Zimmerman of Roxie; his sister, Mabel Carter of Gloster; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
