Louise Jeffries Harper, 84, of 3812 Forrestgate Drive, Winston-Salem, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Blount County, Tenn., to the late Fred Jeffries and Louise Dunlap Jeffries. Mrs. Harper lived most of her life in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Harper; brother Milton Jeffries; and sisters Norma Jones and Ernestine Daniel. She was a member of Winston-Salem Friends Meeting and leaves a caring and nurturing family of friends there. The memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 26, at Winston-Salem Friends Meeting, with Pastor Judith Dancy officiating. Memorials may be made to Winston-Salem Friends Meeting, 3151 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express thanks for the wonderful care and service she received as a resident of Heritage Woods in Winston-Salem.
