Mrs. Addie Berry Cannon, 90, died Friday, January 25, 1985 in Nashville, Tenn. / She was the daughter of the late Horace A. McClure and Grace Hunter McClure. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Annie Mayhew and her husband H. Ross Cannon. / A native of Leitchfield, Mrs. Cannon had made her home in recent years in Nashville with her son, Dr. Richard O. Cannon II, Professor Emeritus, Vanderbilt University, and Mrs. Cannon. / Other survivors are four grandchildren: May Connor Cannon, Anne Wakefield DeWitt, Dr. Richard O. Cannon III, and James Ross Cannon. Five great grandchildren also survive. / Memorial services for Mrs. Cannon were held in Nashville, Jan. 28 at Martin and Bracey-Welch Funeral Home, with Rev. David Moore officiating. Interment in Thomas Cemetery was to be announced later by Ellis-Mayes Funeral Home, Leitchfield, with graveside services to be conducted by Rev. Fred C. Whitmore. / Expressions of symphony may take the form of contributions to the Grayson County Historical Society Memorial Fund.
