Michele, resident of Fairhope, went home to be with Jesus in her home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at age 59. Michele Grew up in Smithtown, Alabama, the youngest of nine children born of Ernest and Verla Mae Smith. She was a graduate and cheerleader of Citronelle High School, 1980. She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from USA. Her favorite things were her family, beach trips with her husband and girls, coaching and watching her girls play sports. She was an avid Alabama Football fan. (ROLL TIDE!). She loved her son-in-law Austin, and adored her grandson Campbell, and loved being his Grammy. She loved to dance, draw and paint. She was like an older sister to her nieces and taught them to draw, about fashion, makeup, how to dance, and especially how to not take life too seriously. Michele really knew how to light up a room with her humor and fun-loving personality. She taught in Mobile County for 30 years and Jackson County, MS for five years. She loved teaching math and many of her students expressed their appreciation for her time invested in them. Michele was a devoted believer and active member of Three Circle Church and was blessed by her bible study group, "her tribe". She was saved at sixteen and re-baptized at 59. Above all, Michele loved the Lord and her family with everything that she had. She will be deeply missed by all, but we know that she is surely happy in Jesus's loving arms. Victory in Jesus! Preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernest and Verla Mae Smith; Brother, sister-in-law, and nephew Gene, Eula, and Greg Smith; Sister, Sharon Yates; nephew, Garrett Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Wilkins; Daughters Morgan, Maegan (Austin), and Montana, and her favorite and only Grandson, Campbell. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters, Terry Smith (Sue), Marcia Turner (Charles), Jerry Smith (Patsy), Debra Browning (Stan), Gary Smith, Ernie Smith (Tracy) and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Wilmer First Baptist Church from 11:00 - 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be at 12:00 PM. Interment will be following to Smithtown Cemetery.
