Mildred Joyce Pifer, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017.She was born May 6th, 1945 in Gate City, Vrginia, the daughter of the late Charlie Tate and Laura Bartlett Tate. She was known to family and friends as Millie and mom. She is also preceded in death by her husbands Joe Skeens, William Donnelly and William Pifer, pets; Blue and BB.
She is survived by her children; Patricia Skeens Parks, Joe Ed Skeens Jr. and William Charles Skeens, grandchildren; William T. Skeens, Robert C. Parks, Joe Ed Skeens III, Nathan J. Parks, Jodi E. Skeens and Haylee N. Sexton. great grandchildren; Natalie J. Parks, Gabriel C. Parks, Ian B. Skeens, Axton L. Skeens, sister; Barbara Jean Lawson, several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday May 19, 2017 5782 Yuma Road, Gate City, Virginia 24251.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. Please visit there website scotthumane.org to make donation.
